Responsibilities
- Provide knowledgeable, enjoyable, and friendly service to customers.
- Assist customers in finding a product that meets their needs and skill level.
- Process sales transactions in a quick, accurate and personable manner.
- Maintain the store by keeping it clean and organized.
- Receive, check, and merchandise new product coming into the store.
- Restock product to the sales floor.
- Process phone and web orders.
Requirements
- Retail experience preferred.
- Above average surfboard and wetsuit knowledge.
- Stay up-to-date on the newest board models, fins, and other technical equipment.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize competing tasks, and manage time effectively.
- Ability to stand/walk for long periods.
- Expected to work weekends and some holidays.
General Availability & Commitment
Summer staffing challenges often occur during the key periods highlighted below. Applicants that commit to working both, early season and throughout the back-to-school transition, are preferred.
- May 15 – June 15 (pre/early season)
- June 16 - August 14
- August 15 – September 15 (back-to-school transition)
